Recognize the SOUNDS:

Sound is one of the most influential sciences in our environment, each day we awake to some form of sound. Whether it be a ringtone, music or the annoying beeping sounds of traditional alarm clocks. Within minutes of waking our auditory senses are being stimulated in every room of our dwelling.

Sounds provide a key influence in our awareness to our surroundings, take for example the sound of sirens, almost immediately you are looking in every direction to see the fire truck, concerned if your car is in the way you're waiting second to second as the sound of the siren gets closer, finally the relief when you see the fire truck in the opposing lane.

Sounds create complex mathematical equations to stimulate our metabolism to either a heightened sensation or slowing our metabolism down into Alpha states and eventually into Theta states. For thousands of years evolved civilizations utilized the power of sound from ceremonial practices, to healing therapies, to promoting a far better toothpaste other than ground pumice and wine vinegar. Each category dividing into tangents and fissures utilized in our modern day use of sounds.

One of the primal instincts a HUMAN being has is a automatic reaction to loud noises. Instantaneously our nervous system begins releasing neurotransmitters and hormones at the moment of a loud sound, even our voluntary muscles involuntarily contract into flexing the muscles as if to duck down from something. Amazing when the sound of an explosion from our home theater system even raises the hair on your skin, now that's entertainment!

The area of interest to me is where sound becomes the medium for the HUMAN experience of INTENTION.

In it's simplest form Intention is defined as a purpose or attitude toward the effect of one's actions or conduct. But what if the symmetry of one's thoughts of intentions is not the same as the words one uses to communicate them? How can I communicate clearly to you my intentions unless the words you hear and then see the results of my actions are experienced?  In order for me to be clear about my intentions my thoughts, words and actions must be in alignment with one another. In other words what I think, I speak and I do are all the same.

Success can be defined as an individual who cultivates the practices of being responsible for one's thoughts, words and actions. This also means that they are in symmetry with one another. Once this is realized, life becomes a field of possibilities that are in alignment with what you choose to experience.

OK, so how does sound tie into this?

Sound becomes the physical means of measurement of our state of being. It becomes a global understanding that all HUMANS can respond to.  Among many social elements sound in the form of music defines one identity in social circles. Likes dislikes gravitate like minded individuals of similar genre. Sub cultures have even formed as a result of musical preference and yet the underlying motivator is not solely based upon the musical characteristics of the band. It's about vibrational healing.

What is "vibrational healing?"  The term suggests that all things vibrate at some rate relative to time. Returning to music for a moment, high vibration represents the  sound of cymbols of a drum kit while low vibration refers to the beating of the kick drum. Each vibration has its affects on our senses. The vibrations from musical instruments carry information from naturally occuring sounds that reach the listener in a harmonious way. Big deal right? Well it is a big deal when you are in the moment with the musicians, jumping up and down, feeling great about being there all because you are hearing and feeling a collective intention of sounds. So much so that you even consider buying a t-shirt for $49.95, right?  Healing is the condition when some aspect of your life is uncomfortable whether physical, emotional or mental and we seek out a method or system to gain a broader perspective of our current situation and how to resolve it. Sound waves propagating through the air reaching our ears and body is one of those methods or systems. The trick however is finding the one that assists you in your healing process.

The sound creating ability we all have been born with for vibrational healing is the sound of crying. Have you noticed that the sounds of crying all have a similar pattern? Crying is the process of healing. Think about it, can a person truly let go of emotions stored in the body by acknowledgement in the mind alone? Or maybe you can visually cry on the inside perhaps? Believe me I've tried and from my experiences the only result of emotional release is by producing SOUND from your vocal chords. The process of crying is the vehicle for healing the mind and body in a pattern of symmetrical healing. LAUGHING is another sound for vibrational healing. Again we hear similar patterns in laughing of all people. And how powerfully moving it is to hear someone cry or laugh. In fact in the presence of one or the other will induce an emotional response for you to participate. There is the vibrational healing sound of our voice speaking our T.R.U.T.H. for the first time or singing songs with a group of friends or just singing in the shower. Screaming at the top of your lungs in a traffic jam in order to release the stress of your experiences is another.

Music is another method of vibrational healing, that if we allow it to be a conscious method of healing for us, it is. So to go even deeper than this: Music creates the attraction for you to assist your healing process initially through the band's intentions, then as you move into social circles of musically like minded individuals, the relationships created become the means for healing by your interactions with one another. Whew...imagine? Relationships become your mirror for learning about yourself and others.

So how am I drawn to certain types of music/musicians?

Musicians compose music as a result of some form of some relative life experience translated into an equation of rhythm, harmonies and melodies. The songs become a means of identifying the emotional relationship to that experience. In turn when performed the emotional state is enhanced by the number of musicians in the band and "their" relationship with each other. Together this dynamic will radiate the bands collective   intention, which in turn draws to them an audience of listeners who enjoy hearing it, are emotionally moved by it and develop a need to hear it over and over again, until that mathematical equation "vibrates" that person into a sound resonance of healing. We have all experienced this to varying degrees. During the challenging years of being a teenager when I was asked what music I listened to, it set the stage for either shared enthusiasm or derogatory ridicule of my musical tastes. That was a social pressure I do not miss.

The journey continues with experiencing S.O.U.N.D.S., containing methods and systems to enhance and inspire your life, more to come...
